5.0 out of 5 stars Good quality product, October 27, 2008
By

There are two models with different sprout high so be sure to check which one you need/like before you order.
We got the stainless steel model with 9 1/8″ sprout for our newly remodeled kitchen and love it.
Pros:
– very easy to clean. There is barely any water spot left on the faucet. So I really just need to clean it once a week and no need to wipe if after each use.
– no need to hold down the button to keep it in spray mode.
– long extension
– handle can be installed on either left or right, or even in the front

Cons:
– expensive, but reasonably priced for its quality
– require a certain clearance if the control is installed on left or right (not an issue for us as our sink is not in front of any backsplash or wall)

4.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful, but splashy, June 3, 2009

We love the dramatic way that this faucet looks, although in retrospect we might have gone with a more brushed metal look rather than the shiny shiny chrome. The handle feels and looks great. If you are going to install it facing forward, make sure to reverse hot and cold, otherwise hot will be on the right and cold will be on the left. In our big kitchen sink, with our strong water pressure, and with the added height that this faucet gives us, we find it to be a bit splashy, but at the same time, it definitely fills a pitcher of water about three times faster than our old faucet did. The pull-down action of the head works beautifully and feels great, and it fits back in much better than our old faucet as well.

2.0 out of 5 stars Expensive mistake, February 27, 2012

We purchased this faucet from Costco, almost five years ago, based on the description and picture. The base is a solid stainless but that’s about as far as the quality goes. The pull-out spray is made out of a cheap plastic with a finish that continually chips and buckles. We have replaced two pull-out sprays and have just contacted Grohe about our current one on which the laminate is also buckling and separating. I still have the previous two pull-out sprays and the cheap laminate continues to separate more even though they aren’t being used. Considering that our water is naturally soft, this is totally unacceptable.

We are also having problems with the pull out function, i.e. the flex steel hose/spring part connected to the handspray. Pulling it out completely alleviates some of the problem but it returns within a few uses.

Considering the cost at the time (over $500) and the limited warranty of five years for the finish, I would not encourage anyone to… Read more
